Nicorette Nasal Spray is fast and powerful relief from nicotine cravings, to help those who want to stop smoking. This nasal spray is a form of nicotine replacement therapy, meaning that you will be getting the nicotine that your body is craving without all the toxins associated with conventional smoking. When you stop smoking your body misses the nicotine that you have been absorbing. You may experience unpleasant feeling and a strong desire to smoke, indicating your dependence on nicotine. When you spray Nicorette Nasal Spray into your nose nicotine will pass rapidly through your nose lining and be released into your blood stream, relieving the unpleasant nicotine withdrawal symptoms.

How To Use

• To prep the spray point it safely away from you and any other adults, children, or pets near you. Place the nozzle between your first and second finger with your thumb on the bottom of the bottle. Press several times firmly and quickly until a fine spray appears. 
• To use, insert the spray time into on nostril, pointing the top towards the back of your nose. Press firmly and quickly. Then, insert the spray tip into your other nostril and repeat the process. 
• Spray once in each nostril up to twice in an hour (no more than this)
• After using the spray, ensure that you replace the cap and store it away from light.

When To Not Use Nicorette Nasal Spray

Do not use Nicorette Nasal spray if you are allergic to nicotine or any of the ingredients in this product. Do not give this product to children under 12 years of age.

Children aged 12-18 years should not use this product for longer than 12 weeks in total without asking for help and advice from a doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. Adults aged 18 or over should not use this product for longer than 9 months in total without asking for help and advice from a doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.

 

You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using this nasal spray if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. In these situations it is recommended that you try to quit smoking without using Nicotine Replacement Therapies (NRTs). If you need to use NRT you should try to use products such as sprays, that are used intermittently. If breast-feeding try to feed your baby just before you use Nicorette Nasal Spray, to make sure that the baby gets the smallest amount of nicotine possible.

 

You should also talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Nicorette Nasal spray if:

• You are in hospital because of heart disease/issues
• You have a stomach ulcer
• You have inflammation of the oesophagus
• You have liver or kidney disease
• You have an overactive thyroid gland
• You have respiratory disease (such as asthma)
• You have diabetes
• You are taking other medicines

These do not necessarily mean that you will not be able to use Nicorette Nasal Spray, but it is important that you get medical advice on if and how you can take the product.
