Flu jabs are now available through many of your local Pharmacies as well as you GP surgery.
Advantages of using your local Weldricks include:
If you go to the Pharmacy for your flu jab, you may be asked to wait a few minutes whilst they get things together. You will be shown in to a private consultation room and we will take some detail from you, including consent to share information with your GP. We will run through some advice about flu jabs and make sure you qualify for a free NHS vaccination, if you don’t we can offer you a private vaccination. Side effects of flu jabs can include headaches, fever and localised irritation, which are usually mild and pass in a day or two. Most people are absolutely fine. If you develop flu shortly after your flu jab, the chances are you were already infected with the virus, as your body takes two to four weeks to respond to the flu jab and make you immune. After your flu jab, you will be asked to remain on the premises for 10 minutes just to make sure you are OK.
