Here at Weldricks we firmly believe in giving something back to the communities in which we work and one of the ways we do that is to support local charities by raising funds and awareness as often as we possibly can.
Weston Park Cancer Charity is dedicated to providing the best life for everyone living with and beyond cancer. Its services, advice, therapies and support are used by thousands of people with cancer and their families every year. Funds raised support vital, pioneering research and clinical trials led by the medical experts at Weston Park Cancer Centre.
Explains Nicola Goodberry, superintendent pharmacist at Weldricks: “Weston Park Cancer Charity does so much good work and has helped numerous members of our staff and their families over the years so it’s vital that we help them to continue delivering just that.
“From sponsoring a table at Weston Park Race Day at Doncaster Racecourse each year, to donning our favourite Christmas jumpers and making a donation, there are lots of different ways to help and we’re proud to support such a well-respected and precious charity.”
Continues Nicola: “To further enhance our charitable giving on a local level, last spring we became members of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice ‘365 Business Club’. If you’re a business owner reading this post, please consider signing up too!
“Bluebell Wood is a home from home for many people, with a comfy lounge and beautiful gardens. The team there is always cooking up mouth-watering meals and tasty treats in the kitchen for families. There’s also plenty of fun activities for children to try, including soft play, arts and crafts, music therapy and much more; it’s a truly fantastic place.”
