Care Clotrimazole cream is used to treat fungal infections such as athlete's foot, ringworm and fungal nappy rash. It can also be used to treat fungal infections in the breast fold (intertrigo) and infections associated with thrush such as irritation of the vagina (candidal vaginitis) or the end of the penis (candidal balanitis). Other uses of Clotrimazole cream include the treatment of fungal infections around the fingernails (paronychia), and certain other fungal skin infections (erythrasma and pityriasis). Clotrimazole is one of a group of medicines known as Imidazoles. Medicines of this group are used to treat skin infections caused by several types of fungi.

Apply the cream to the affected area of skin two or three times daily for at least two weeks. In some cases, however, Clotrimazole cream needs to be applied for more than four weeks.
