Corsodyl Mouthwash Mint 600ml

For the Treatment of Gum Problems

Chlorhexidine digluconate is used in the treatment of:

• Bleeding Gums.
• Irritated Gums.
• Mouth Ulcers.

What is Corsodyl Mint Mouthwash for? 

The active ingredient is chlorhexidine digluconate which is an antibacterial agent that reduces the formation of dental plaque and is used to:

• Treat & prevent gum disease (where gums may bleed when brushed).
• Promote gum healing after dental surgery or treatment.
• Control mouth ulcers.
• Maintain mouth hygiene.
• Manage oral thrush and denture sore mouth.

For gingivitis, rinse with 10ml for one minute, twice a day for one month. For ulcers and candidal infections, continue to use until 48 hours after the infection has cleared. For treatment of dental stomatitis, soak dentures for 15 minutes twice a day.

Active ingredient: Chlorhexidine Digluconate 0.2% w/v.

Other ingredients: Ethanol 7% v/v, Macrogolglycerol Hydroxystearate, Sorbitol, Peppermint Oil and Water.

Because of the way chlorhexidine forms a protective layer across the teeth and gums to help prevent new plaque from forming, some temporary discolouration can occur on the teeth and tongue.

In the majority of cases this can be removed by brushing, and will disappear once the treatment has stopped.

Discolouration usually occurs when certain foods and drinks such as tea, coffee and red wine are consumed within an hour of using the mouthwash. Other sources such as beer and cigarettes cause staining but are not associated with chlorhexidine digluconate in Corsodyl.
