Flea Treatment for Cats

Fleas are tiny insects that bite animals and humans to draw blood. Flea bites can be itchy and very uncomfortable for your cat. It is important to regularly use flea treatments to stop the spread of fleas in your home and on your pets. Pets pick up fleas from the environment, this can be when they are both outdoors or indoors. Even if you own an indoor cat, it is important to use flea treatments to prevent your cat from a flea infestation or flea-related irritation. 

Frontline Plus for Cats

Frontline Plus Spot-on Cat not only kills fleas and ticks on your pet it also contains active IGR technology that stops flea eggs from hatching and larvae developing in your home. Frontline Plus can also be used as part of a treatment for flea allergy dermatitis, where this has been previously diagnosed by a veterinary surgeon. How Does Frontline Work for Cats?

Once applied, the treatment is stored in the sebaceous glands in your pet's skin and spreads over the whole body surface with their natural oils. Fleas are killed through contact with your pet's skin. The treatment does not stop fleas from jumping onto your cat, however the fleas that do get onto your pet will be killed after contact.

Remove Applicator: Lift and remove the plastic tab to expose foil backing. Then peel away the foil. Or use scissors to open.

Open Applicator: Hold upright with foil side toward you and snap applicator tip.

Apply Frontline Plus: Part your cat's hair between the shoulder blades. Place the applicator tip just above the skin and squeeze. Apply entire contents of the applicator in a single spot directly onto the animal's skin. Do not apply on top of the haircoat. Avoid contact with treated area until dry.
