Leukoplast Cuticell Classic 5cm x 5cm Pack of 5

Leukoplast Cuticell Classic is the economical solution when treating exudating wounds. The low-adherent dressing is made of open weave cotton gauze impregnated with soft paraffin – to facilitate dressing change and to support a moist environment for the wound.

Cuticell Classic is used as a primary wound contact layer in the treatment of exuding wounds such as:

• Minor burns and scalds
• Donor and recipient skin graft sites
• Skin loss wounds
• Lacerations and abrasions
• Leg ulcers

An absorbant dressing and a fixation bandage is needed.

Prior to application, the wound should be cleaned as usual.

Remove Leukoplast Cuticell Classic from the peel pack and cut it to the size of the wound if necessary.

To absorb wound exudate, a sterile absorbent pad can be placed over Cuticell Classic.

For fixation, bandages or adhesive  material can be used.

Cuticell Classic should be removed at the latest as soon as the paraffin starts to liquefy.

Cuticell Classic is packaged for single use. Do not re-use or re-sterilise as there is a risk of transmission of body fluids or contaminated tissue between patients.

Do not use if pouch is open or damaged.

Using Cuticell Classic in multiple layers or on heavily exuding wounds may cause occlusion.

Impregnated gauze dressings may stick to the wound bed of dry wounds.
