Directions for closed bandage:
- Clean the injured finger or toe; and cover with a sterile dressing if needed.
- Cut a length of bandage, around two and a half times the length of the finger or toe, and gather it onto the applicator.
- Place the applicator over the finger or toe so that the open sides are between the fingers or toes.
- Holding the end of the bandage in place, slide the applicator yto the end of the finger or toe and twist the applicator once.
- Push the applicator back towards the base of the finger or toe, applying the remainder of the bandage and then removing the applicator.
- The base of the bandage can be secured with tape if required.
Directions for open-end bandage:
- Clean the injured finger and cover with a sterile dressing if needed.
- Measure and cut the bandage to approximately the length of the injured finger. Follow the instructions for the closed-end bandage. Except, when withdrawing the applicator stop before you get to the end of your finger.
- Twist the applicator a half turn and as with the closed-end bandage, push the applicator back towards the base of the finger.
- The bandage can be secured with tape if required.
Directions for finger stall:
- Clean the injured finger and cover with a sterile dressing if needed.
- Measure the bandage 4 to 5 times the length of the finger and cut. Follow the instruction for the closed-end bandage. However, once the second layer of the bandage has been applied, keep the remainder in the applicator and cut down each side.
- Remove the applicator and tie the two loose strips together at the base of the bandage to prevent it from tearing.
- Wrap the two pieces around the wrist and tie securely
